This is one of the sweetest setups with the TOWNER V.BLOCK System I have seen on a Les Paul Custom GoldTop installed with a BIGSBY B3 vibrato tailpiece!!! Read below about what the customer had to say.

“Hey so I was inspired by Guitar_Nut’s recent thread for his GoldTop with Bigsby. I have had a love hate relationship with the Bigsby design, I have two ES335’s with B7’s. I love the look more than the way it works but I do get enjoyment out of using it. I opted to go with a B3 (no tension roller) and in order for that to fit correctly you need a spacer between the body at the heel (bottom) and the bigsby bracket that screws into the guitar. I could have made my own out of some hardwood I suppose but TOWNER makes a kit that is aluminum. It is radiuses to fit snugly against the guitar and it is pre-drilled to receive the screws from the Bigsby hinge plate that typically would go into the wood of the guitar. This V-Block, as it’s called, actually allows you to do a fully reversible Bigsby mod since no additional holes get drilled into the guitar. The Bigsby is held in by the strap button screw. In addition to this I got the Towner tension bar kit. If you haven’t seen this it’s rad. You remove your tailpiece and the tension bar sits on the existing studs. You raise and lower the tailpiece studs to dial in the exact amount of tension you need. After doing this mod, my R7 plays so slinky and the Bigsby stays in tune wonderfully. The bridge is an ABR so I was concerned that without a roller bridge I would have issues. It works great and looks awesome. IMO.”
