    • Trapeze Tailpiece guitars - TOWNER B3 SH Kit Since Epiphone has been inconsistent in the size of the bridge posts you may have to widen the hole of the feet of the string tension bar to fit some bridge post widths. However, not ideal for the gold plated string tension bar. The other solution I can offer is converting to the M8 bridge posts and the ABR-1 bridge. I have also learned that the bridge posts I have are better than the stock bridge posts Epiphone and other import guitars use. Because the bridge post screws all the way down to the wood which makes for better tone in the guitar. 
*NOTE*
If you don't have a Gibson guitar get the METRIC studs

If you have locking studs, do not use them with the down tension bar. Get the traditional style  METRIC or SAE studs

HOW TO CHECK NECK WIDTH of the STOP TAILPIECE STUDS:

The stud neck width should be no wider than 0.260 inches. In my experience, all guitars with stock METRIC stop tailpiece studs have wider neck posts.
