Which Guitar Do You Have?

- ES-333, 335 any year then 345-355 after 1961 – TOWNER B6 Kit
- ES-345 and 355 1959-1961 had a low stop tailpiece - TOWNER B3 Kit

- Trapeze Tailpiece guitars:
  - Epiphone Casino - Take a measurement because it could be the TOWNER B6 SH Kit or the TOWNER B3 SH Kit. Since Epiphone has been inconsistent in the size of the bridge posts you may have to convert the M8 bridge posts and the ABR-1 bridge.
  - Gibson ES-330 - If your Gibson has thick bridge posts with inserts, you should convert the bridge and post to the M5 bridge posts and the ABR-1 bridge.
- The bridge posts I have are better than the stock bridge posts Epiphone and other import guitars use. Because the bridge post screws all the way down to the wood which makes for better tone in the guitar.

*NOTE*

If you DON'T have a Gibson guitar get the METRIC studs

If you have locking studs, Gibson is using them now on some guitars. DO NOT use them with the down tension bar. Get the traditional style studs METRIC or SAE, for Gibson.

HOW TO CHECK NECK WIDTH of the STOP TAILPIECE STUDS:

The stud neck width should be no wider than 0.260 inches. In my experience, all guitars with stock METRIC stop tailpiece studs have wider neck posts.
